Applications to which ISR instruments can be applied include:

1. Current and wind maps in the open ocean using HF radars at kilometer resolution
2. Current maps in bays, harbors, & coastal flow with marine radar at 10's of meter resolution
3. Nearshore bar maps using portable marine radars
4. Riverene flow and rip-currents in the coastal zone using coherent microwave radars
5. Noncoherent
6. Bridge altimetry (water height) and non-contact tide gauging
7. Target tracking and classification
