Riverene Flow and Rip-Currents in the Coastal Zone using Coherent Microwave Radars

We are developing coherent radars to map surface flow at higher resolution than is afforded by the non-coherent marine radar approach. Rather than being limited to the 32x32 pixel area (~200 m on a side), using a coherent microwave radar one can obtain a surface velocity measure at the 6-m pixel scale size.
